About Us

St. Charles Credit Union is governed by its Board of Directors, who set policy, plan the Credit Union's course and make certain that it maintains a sound financial position. The Board is comprised of nine Credit Union members who are elected by the general membership. The Directors, in turn, elect their officers annually from their ranks.

Another group of elected Credit Union officials is the Credit Committee. Members of the Credit Committee meet several times each week to approve or disapprove all loan requests based on policies established by the Board of Directors.

Members of both the Board of Directors and the Credit Committee are unpaid volunteers and serve three-year terms. Elections for these positions occur at the Credit Union's Annual Meeting, which is held each year in February. All members of the Credit Union who are 18 years of age or older and are in good standing are eligible to run for these positions.

Also serving in a volunteer capacity is the Supervisory Committee. These members conduct the Credit Union's internal audit functions and make certain that we are in compliance with all financial regulations. They are appointed by the Board of Directors.
