How to Apply for a Credit Union Loan

It's easy to apply for a loan at the Credit Union!  Click here to download a copy of the application or stop in or call the office for a loan application. Your application must be completed in full.  We must know your income and its source(s), as well as your debts in order to process your loan. You must also show some proof of income such as your pay stubs, W-2 or current tax return.

Our staff will request a report on your credit status from the credit bureau. Your application and credit report will be reviewed by staff Loan Officers or the Volunteer Credit Committee to see if you fall within the Credit Union's standards for collateral, debt ratio and credit worthiness. These standards are established by the Board of Directors and vary depending on the type of loan you are requesting. Some approvals may be made the same day, but all approvals are normally completed within two working days.

If your loan application does not fall within our guidelines, you may be asked to find a co-maker or to supply additional information.

Once your loan has been approved, an appointment will be set up for the applicant and co-maker (if applicable) to sign prepared paperwork and issue the loan proceeds.

SmartMoney Line

The SmartMoney Line is an automated line available 24 hours for your convenience.  You can use the SmartMoney Line to access the following:

  • Current account information including balances, recent activity, and transactions by date on your Shares, Drafts, Club, Certificates and Loan accounts.

  • Perform transactions such as account transfers, loan payments, and withdrawals.

  • Information on current dividend and loan rates, as well as special promotions.

  • Information on office hours.

  • Change your "access code."*

* When accessing your account for the first time, the default access code is the six-digit birthdate of the primary account holder. (For example, 010958 for January 9, 1958) You will be told that the code is no longer valid and will be asked to enter a new access code of your choice. This new number will become your permanent access code.
